Tuition Fees for Class 1 to 5 Per Month: A Parent's Guide

By · 01 Oct 2026

For Nursery to Class 5, most parents want a tutor who builds reading, writing and number skills and keeps homework on track — not someone who teaches to a syllabus. That changes both what you should look for and what you should expect to pay.

What Class 1 to 5 tuition costs

Primary tutors usually quote one monthly fee for the whole primary level, and the current range — updated from live, verified tutor profiles — is on the Class 1 to 5 tuition fees page, broken down by subject and by teaching mode. The home tuition fees page compares it with every other class.

What changes the price

  • Home visit or online. A tutor who comes to your home charges more than an online class; tuition at the tutor's own place usually sits in between.
  • Days per week. Most fees assume a set number of days; daily tuition costs more.
  • All subjects or one. Many primary tutors cover every subject for one fee; a specialist for one subject may charge a similar amount for fewer hours.
  • Your city. Fees vary noticeably between cities, so compare against your own city's fee page.

Choosing a primary tutor

Look for experience with young children specifically, patience, and a clear plan for reading and maths basics. Ask how they report progress to you, and start with a trial week before committing to a month.
