How to Register on TutorGali
Registration is free for both tutors and students/parents and takes about two minutes. The steps below are exactly what the form above walks you through.
Registering as a Tutor
- Select Tutor, enter your name, email, gender, and mobile number, then set a password.
- Verify your email — click "Send OTP", enter the 6-digit code, and hit "Verify". This step is mandatory before "Create Account" activates.
- You're logged in immediately and taken to onboarding: add the subjects, boards, and grades you teach, your teaching mode (home, online, or both), availability, and monthly rates.
- Submit your education certificate and a government ID for verification — our team manually reviews every tutor before a profile goes live in student search (see how we verify tutors).
- Once approved, students can find and contact you directly. Your first 5 student contacts are free; a subscription is only needed after that.
Registering as a Student / Parent
- Select Student / Parent and fill in the same short form — name, email, gender, mobile number, and a password.
- Verify your email with the OTP sent to it.
- Create your account and log in — no separate profile or documents are needed to search.
- Search verified tutors by city, subject, board, or grade, compare their rates, and send a booking request directly from a tutor's profile.
How do I register on TutorGali?
Click "Sign Up", choose whether you're a tutor or a student/parent, fill in your name, email, gender and mobile number, verify your email with the OTP sent to it, set a password, and submit. Tutors are then taken straight into onboarding to complete their profile; students go straight to login.
Is registering as a tutor free?
Yes. Creating an account and building your profile costs nothing, and your first 5 student contacts are free. A paid subscription is only needed once you go past that free quota.
Why do I need to verify my email to register?
Email OTP verification confirms the account belongs to a real, reachable person before it's created — it's mandatory and the "Create Account" button stays disabled until the OTP you receive is verified.
Do I need to submit documents to register as a tutor?
Registration itself doesn't require documents, but your profile isn't shown to students in search until you submit an education certificate and a government ID and our team manually reviews them. See how we verify tutors for the full process.
Do students need to pay to register or search tutors?
No. Registering as a student/parent and searching, comparing, and contacting tutors is free — there's no platform fee on the student side.
